@ Membership Secretary, BCA1960

Firstly, I welcome
you to tonight’s
annual Award and
Dinner event. I
feel enormously
privileged and
honoured to be
the Membership
Secretary of the
largest and oldest
organisation- ‘BCA’.
We all know how difficult and painful year we had
during Covid-19. We lost so many people all over
the world. Our heartfelt condolences goes to the
bereaved families. We Pray May Allah (SWT) grant
them Jannatul Ferdous and RIP.
During Covid; BCA has organised many virtual
meetings and had correspondences with
Government officials. For the benefit of our
Members, BCA appointed an Accountant for
financial advise and other relevant informations
which we have circulated to the Members and
It is essential for BCA to encourage caterers to
become members of this great platform of the
curry industry.
The members can get many benefits not only
for financial aspect of the business but also get
essential business and other related expertise
Becoming members of BCA will enormously assist
this organisation to lobby with the government for
our needs and many other business related issues.
We have seen the effect during this difficult year.
Having a large number of members also helps us to
negotiate better deals with the suppliers.
This will enhance BCA to interconnect and lobby
with the government regarding the industry’s staff
shortage issue. The staff shortage is the biggest
implication in this present climate. It has began to
be the cause of collapse of our great British Curry
Industry. We have to stand together, discuss and
make every effort to show the Government the real
concern. This is why we have to have more and
more registered members.
I sincerely urge all the caterers to join BCA and
‘help us to help you excel in this great industry.
