
Alex recently helped as a Judge for the BCA Chef of the Year Competition 2012. Now retired, he is involved with both local and national charities – either as a volunteer, Trustee, Fundraiser, or Clerk to Trustees. Alex is also a school Governor, a Parish Councillor, and is currently President of The Rotary Club of Stevenage. Personal interests include travel, and photography.

Joanne has worked in Local Government for 18 years as an Environmental Health Officer, predominantly specialising in food safety and heath and safety. She has worked for five different local authorities and is currently with Colchester Borough Council. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Joanne organised the Colchester Curry Chef Competition 2013.

Hailing from Emmen in Holland, he started at the hotel in January 2004 as Food and Beverage Manager, taking the top post in July 2007. Given his former career background, it is no surprise he is an enthusiastic Judge for the BCA Chef of the Year Competition 2012.
